5 ways to be productive during college
College is a place for something more than learning, and definitely
more than learning things out of books. It’s the guide that makes all the
amateurs learn the basics of succeeding in the modern world. Continuous classes, extra-curricular
activities and then our social life, well we need to somehow manage it and I’ll
tell you how to be more productive or to get most out of yourself at the same
time.
Involve yourself
- There are lots of extra-curricular activities conducted, trying getting involved in as many as possible as we do not know which will be handy in the future. We might build good soft skills, negotiation skills, presentation skills, managing events, the know it all etc. All this is only possible if we involve ourselves more and more. So next time someone asks for something volunteer to help, because we never know.
Get Study mates
- Everyone is different and different students can also offer a different perspective or explain difficult material in a way that may make more sense than the way that your professor explained it. This is important for you, it helps you speed up your study process. And you can also help others which shows that you have learnt and it shall help you remember.
Break the rules.
- College Rules exists for a reason, I'm not saying support anarchy. But when rules and tradition hold back progress, then it’s up to us to change the fate. There's a reason why we say that entrepreneurship break the cycle of thinking, that is think outside the box. If this was not done then great people like Elon Musk or Steve Jobs would have not succeeded. So, cultivate an attitude that says you're out to accomplish and not go along with how things have always been.
Make use of what you learnt
- We will face many challenges during our college life, and these challenges are because of the fact that we have to make our own decisions. And this is where putting ourselves out there helps, we learn so much by exposing ourselves. And when the time comes to make some important decisions this helps us.
Maintain a personal budget
- As a college student, our allowances are limited to us and hence you to learn about earning money on the side. And we need to stop our unnecessary spending from time to time. Having a budget allows us to create a spending plan for our money, it ensures that we will always have enough money for the things we need and the things that are important to us and avoid the waste of money. This is only possible if we have a track of our expenditure.
